Education Group

I found this cartoon to be quite interesting. I think comic images like these are what grab younger student's attention. This is an image I incorporated into my education presentation which I will be posting in a few days for feed back. Does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas on how I can relate my presentation more towards a younger group of students? Please send me a few suggestions.

  1. This is a cute comic showing a very serious problem. I agree with Yesi in that comics and pictures are a great way to get children and small kids interested in climate change/global warming. Short movies about climate change might also help stimulate their interest, as well as picture books about the subject.

  2. I decided to work with kids as well for my solutions project. Cartoons and comics are great tools for teaching younger children about the facts of climate change. I found a great website with 4-5 short cartoons about global warming that served as a great introduction for my project. The website is:

    http://globalwarmingkids.net/

If you browse around the site, it has a lot of information and tips for talking with the children about the topic. It also has a cause they can follow and join, as well as a printable checklist on how to reduce their family's carbon footprint. Check it out, it will spark some good ideas!!!
