I found this cartoon to be quite interesting. I think comic images like these are what grab younger student's attention. This is an image I incorporated into my education presentation which I will be posting in a few days for feed back. Does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas on how I can relate my presentation more towards a younger group of students? Please send me a few suggestions.

This is a cute comic showing a very serious problem. I agree with Yesi in that comics and pictures are a great way to get children and small kids interested in climate change/global warming. Short movies about climate change might also help stimulate their interest, as well as picture books about the subject.
ReplyDeleteI decided to work with kids as well for my solutions project. Cartoons and comics are great tools for teaching younger children about the facts of climate change. I found a great website with 4-5 short cartoons about global warming that served as a great introduction for my project. The website is:

If you browse around the site, it has a lot of information and tips for talking with the children about the topic. It also has a cause they can follow and join, as well as a printable checklist on how to reduce their family's carbon footprint. Check it out, it will spark some good ideas!!!
