  1. This is crazy! Who knew such amazing animals existed in this world! Its unfortunate that the medusa are affecting the local fishing industry, but what can they do? They might be able to fish elsewhere or alter fishing seasons. Or they might even be able to fish the jellies, if they can eat/use them as long as they are fished sustainably.

  2. While the huge jellyfish is interesting, I am still confused as to how exactly a jellyfish of any size sank a 10 ton fishing trawler. Alas, the article makes no mention of this and we may never know the answer.

  3. I think is is funny how now the big problem is jellyfish and not squid. For a while you would hear about how squid are dangerous and to be ware of them while fishing, but now its jellyfish. I think that it is possible for multiple jelly fish to sink a 10 ton fishing trawler becasuer if each one weighs 400lbs, then start multipling that by how much you trawler can hold and it start to break apart. Also, the crew most likely wouldn't touch the catch becuase I'm sure the stingers on those huge guys could kill you..
